Civic architecture: is classicism more appropriate?
The Tocqueville Program of Common Sense Society–The Netherlands and The Aesthetic City present the lecture “Civic architecture: is classicism more appropriate?” by American architecture and art critic Catesby Leigh, with a response from Dutch civic entrepreneur Ruben Hanssen. After the contributions from the speakers, there will be a Q&A with the audience.

After the lecture, there will be closing drinks. Coffee or tea will be available when the doors open, and the post-event reception is included in the ticket.

Speakers
Catesby Leigh co-founded the National Civic Art Society to promote the classical tradition in architecture in the United States and served as its chair for six years. He frequently writes on public art and architecture in American publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, and National Review.
Ruben Hanssen is the founder of the content platform The Aesthetic City, with a mission to promote the message of creating beautiful cities. What started as a podcast grew into a platform that produces content on a wide range of social media, including videos on YouTube.
