Come dressed as you are. Slacks and button downs or jeans and a t-shirt-whatever your preference, we welcome you! Children of all ages are welcome to attend Worship Services with their parents.
Our worship service offers a biblical focus with historical worship elements and a variety of music styles. We honor our faith traditions, while celebrating the modern, through sound, media and messages.
Faith based activity kits are available for the kiddos to enjoy during service. Children’s Sunday Program meets during the sermon time. High-Quality Childcare is available for all Sunday Worship Services and Classes for children under the age of 5.

We treasure each child that comes through our doors and into our hearts. It is our desire to partner with parents to provide quality Bible-based programming in which the love of God is shared, as well as Godly life principles.
Our goal is to welcome every child and give them an exciting opportunity to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Our focus is to create a fun, safe and nurturing environment where kids want to come and bring their friends.

Visalia United Methodist Church hosts a GriefShare support group in Visalia, California. GriefShare Group Thursday, September 17.
Find relief and comfort at a GriefShare support group. Each week you’ll watch a 30-minute video with insights from grief recovery experts and people who share their personal stories.
You’ll then spend time sharing with people who get what you’re going through (there’s no pressure to talk!) and take home a guide with helpful exercises for personal healing. Groups meet for 13 weeks.

History of Methodism in Visalia
The Methodist Episcopal Church was the first church organized in Visalia, CA, when the town was founded in 1852. The first church building was constructed in 1857 (seen here). Today, it would be located on the west side of Church Street between Acequia and Main streets.
During the Civil War, the church split into two churches, Methodist Episcopal (ME) Church South and ME Church North. Separate services were held for adults, although the children's Sunday school sessions remained together.
The two congregations remained divided for a number of years.
